A lot of people want to blame AI for weak performance on LinkedIn.
I do not.
AI did not make your post forgettable.
AI did not make your ideas generic.
AI did not make your story sound like everyone else's.
It just exposed who never had a real point of view to begin with.
That is the uncomfortable part.
Business content is crowded with content that looks polished, sounds smart, and says almost nothing.
The hook is clean.
The spacing is clean.
The structure is clean.
But the thinking is empty.
And here is the part most people do not want to say out loud:
Most posts do not fail because of the algorithm. They fail because they are bland.
Not clear enough.
Not bold enough.
Not specific enough.
Not human enough.
A lot of people are not building a brand.
They are performing one.
They are copying tone.
Copying formatting.
Copying vulnerability.
Copying authority.
Then they wonder why the comments are shallow, the shares are weak, and the right opportunities are not showing up.
Here is what I believe:
The people who will earn attention are the ones with sharper thinking, stronger opinions, and the courage to sound like themselves.
Because the market is getting better at spotting fake depth.
So no, AI is not the problem.
Being boring is.
